Rotary Drilling Rig Fault Information Checklist Before Diagnosis
Collect the machine identity, operating condition, warning codes and visual evidence before requesting remote diagnosis or replacement parts.
1. Make the machine safe
Stop work and follow the machine manufacturer’s shutdown, isolation and inspection procedures. Do not continue operating a machine with an unknown safety-critical fault.
2. Record machine identity
Photograph the machine nameplate and record the exact model, serial number, production year, engine information and controller information when available.
3. Capture the fault condition
State when the symptom appears, what function was being used, whether the machine was cold or warm, and whether the issue is constant or intermittent. Photograph or record the complete warning-code display.
4. Provide clear component evidence
Send overview and close-up photos of the affected area, component nameplate, connectors, hose ports, mounting points and visible damage or leakage. Do not disassemble safety-critical parts solely for photography.
